100lbs down and counting!(35lbs to go)

Recommended Posts

So today marks my 100lbs weight loss in this journey I started march 15th! WOOHOO! I am STOKED!! (Mind you I did lose the first 95lbs in 5.5 months (August) and have somwhat slacked the last 2 months...gave my body a break if anything!) But I WILL reach my goal! I PROMISE you that! 35lbs to go.

It's amazing how I notice little things here and there like how thin my hands are or how thin I look when I catch my reflection suddenly in a plate glass window. One day my 18yr old son and his friend came home while I was standing on the porch. He said

"God mom, stop looking so skinny, you're freaking me out! We didn't even know it as you on the porch!" I LIVE for days like that, let me tell you! Of course there are THOSE other days where I feel bad for still being so fat and I try to chase those negative thoughts away but old habits do die hard. I'm a work in progress!

Oh happy day!!! I'm gonna savor it just for a little while. :-) Thanks everyone on here for their amazing support. Couldn't have made it this far without you!

That is awesome! Congratulations! Can you share some tips on how you lost so much weight so quick? I am losing SO slowly. I am 9 1/2 weeks out and I keep hitting stalls and when I do lose its not much! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!

Congratulations, Miters! We are so close together in our journeys that I feel I understand exactly how you feel. :) I just hit 100 lost (including the 12 preop) so I know how amazingly awesome your world is right now! And, I know you'll knock off those last 35 lbs. It's just a matter of time!

Yay!

Amanda

Are you having a problem with excess skin after losing your weight that fast? If so, what have you heard on getting it removed or do you plan to do so?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
