what am i doing wrong?

Recommended Posts

so I had surgery june 11th and have a lost 46 lbs since the surgery.. I am very happy with my weight loss. I eat basically anything I want but try my best not to eat horribly. I am exercising. Lately I haven't liked my eating habits (eating chips, ice cream, etc) and I haven't lost in a couple of weeks.. so I decided to go back on the liquid diet phase. Initially, i was just going to do 3 days but decided to extend it. I just finish the 4th day (i do crystal light, tea w/ a little honey, Water, Protein Shakes, Soup broth, ) and so far I'VE LOST ZERO POUNDS. so should i continue with the liquid diet or increase my caloric intake?

46lbs in 4 months is great weight loss. What Tiff said is the best way to go about it. Getting your Protein in via food is much better for you than the shakes. Congratulations on your weight loss to date!

Losing weight is basic math burn more calories then taking in.

Your body metabolism adjusts after time and you need to confuse it. Sometimes taking in more calories gets body out of starvation mode.

Also, change up exercise pattern. Hit treadmill and adjust speed and incline every one to two minutes. My personal trainer will have me, for example, start at 3.5 mph then move up to 6 then drop to 4 move up to 7 and so one.

Eat carbs before working out as they will burn first followed by more built up carbs in body. After exercise eat Protein to support muscles.

Don't sweat the once in awhile cheating with chips, just put a limit on it and don't go overboard and revert back to old eating habits. For instance, today I had to drive 400 miles and got a Mcdonald's grilled chicken sandwich and fries. I got rid of the bun and dressing and limited the fries to about 10 threw rest of stuff away.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
