Tummy Tuck and More.....

Recommended Posts

Has anyone have gotten to the point where they had a Tummy Tuck and other things?

How long after the Lap Band did you get it and how much did it cost?

If you haven't had Skin Removal or Tummy Tuck are you going to get it? :) :help: :help: :help:

Hmmm, I doubt it. I wont be looking perfect at the end of it, but I never had a particularly big stomach, so I will probably just have at typical 40 year old I've had 3 big babies kinda stomach - a little loose but that's it. I'm thinking now I may have just a touch of loose upper arm skin too and I'm a little flappy under the chin, noticeable only to me but not as tight as it once was.

I honestly dont think I'd do anything about any of that, the scars would be worse than the minor problems I have. But I am definitely thinking of a touch of Lipo - I have a weird upper abdominal fatty deposit that I never had before and moderately bad saddlebags. And I think a breast lift/reduction may be in my future too, they're problematic, just too big and saggy and really limit swimwear severely. I'm only 38, not ready for a big grandma swimsuit.

All this will have to wait at least 3 years till I finish my degree and am working, unless I can manage to have it passed off as reconstructive surgery rather than cosmetic, and I do love running and they do get in the way!

Cosmetic surgery is not covered by private health insurance in Australia, you have to pay the lot.

Lots of great discussion on this topic here on the PLASTIC SURGERY forum.

I've posted about my experiences, costs, and I know lots of other Bandsters have too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
