WooHoo - Down 110 lbs as of today

Recommended Posts

Yeh - I am down 110 lbs as of today. It is just hard to believe. This has been the easiest "not a diet" diet that I have ever done in my life. I have had absoluty NO - not even one - complications since I had surgery. I now know when my little tummy is full and I can easily say no more even if my plate is not clean. I have noticed that no one notices if you don't take a lot of food on your plate but I sure thought people noticed when I took a lot of food on my plate. Isn't it amazing? I have learned so much in the last 9 months since I started this journey. It has only been 4 1/2 months since my surgery and it seems like everything has changed for the better in my life. Don't get me wrong - I had a great life before I started this journey but everything has gotten even better. I could not possibly by happier with how things are going. I celebrated my 110 lb loss today by cleaning another big box of clothes out of my closet. My charity is loving me for sure. Everytime I see a grossly overweight person like I was I want to go up to them and tell them that there is such an easy solution but I don't obviously.

Yes, I do feel so much better and I get done in a half day that sometimes took me a week to do (or so my hubby says - LOL) I have so much more energy and don't have to take naps in order to survive the day. I can go shopping for a whole afternoon and not be exhausted. (This isn't too good for the bank account but good for me for sure.) It is just amazing what just 110 lbs can do. I can't wait to see what happens when I lose the next 84 lbs.

we had surgery a day a part... I am down 89 pounds total. I only did a 2 week diet before. Doesn't make you feel so young and just want to shout out to the world LOL... LOOK AT ME!!! I am guess we started around the same place too by your BMI. Good luck.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
