Hey everyone,

Okay.. I'm $ weeks out from my sleeve and have lost 15 pounds the first three weeks. This last week, I haven't lost a thing! I would like to know from the veterans...Is this normal?

The dreaded 3-5 week stall strikes again! There are tons of posts about it if you look back through the threads. Best thing to do is focus on hydration, Protein, and healing. Put the scale away for at least 10 days and you should have a little bit of a loss in a couple of weeks. Don't drive yourself crazy by weighing everyday.

Good luck!!

This article really does a great job ofexplaining stalls and why they happen- and you are still losing. I recommend measuring yourself because often you will lose inches when the scale is not cooperating.

Totally normal!

From time to time your metabolism will stabilize and you will need to give it a jolt. I have been stalled for 2 weeks. Don't forget, you are not going to lose weight the rest of you life, sleeve is only designed to lose 50% of excess body weight and typically, according to my doctor, level off around 50 to 80 pounds depending on starting weight.

Angel, I am 5 1/2 weeks out and just started losing again this week after 3 weeks of nothing - except gaining 2-3 pounds. I was worried that I was eating too much and that the sleeve wasn't going to work for me. But this week I've lost 6 pounds in 4 days!!! I know it can be discouraging but hang in there!

I actually stalled early. After day 14, my weight didn't budge even .1 lb for 5 days. I greatly increased my Water intake and thankfully the stall stopped. Just do your best getting in lots of fluids, and just be reassured that it is normal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
