Mousecrazy, got you added. Welcome to the christmas wish list!

Nana, do you have a wish to add to the list? Either a weight or a personal wish for yourself?

Everyone else  I hope all is well. I actually am doing the same as Nana and starting to address and do all of my christmas cards. if I don't do it now they will get out the day after christmas. I like to try and send them out the day after Thanksgiving. That way i know they have plenty of time to get to everyone.

I think that because Christmas is the time that the whole family gets together, and that most of them I will not see until that time, I want to make a huge difference in my appearance for my next visit with them. I want them to see that not only I could do it, but that the band was not the huge mistake they think it is. I hope they will Celebrate with me in whatever weight loss victory i have by that point, but I really hope that I get my wish for Christmas and get almost halfway to goal.

Count me in!!!!!!! My goal is to be at 205 by Christmas!! I am currently at 230 and I have been at a standstill for about 2 weeks! SO hopefully this is the kick in the butt that I need! I to LOVE Christmas! It's been fun ready all of your Christmas memories, ideas and recipies.

Our fun tradition we started in our family about 4 years ago is playing dirty Santa and Christmas trivia. Since most of the family is over 20 years of age (with the exception of my 2 little ones and my cousin's two new babies) we decided to do the dirty gift exchange and call it Dirty Santa! (this is where everyone who wants to participate brings a gift at a 25.00 value and we draw numbers and #1 grabs a gift , opens it and then #2 grabs a gift and can either take #1's gift or grab an unopened gift, then you keep going until all #'s have gotten a gift. We had to put a 3-steal limit on it! It can get pretty crazy in our family! We usually have about 15 people participating! After this is done, my aunt gets us all together to do Christmas trivia. She has a bunch of x-mas related trivia questions and the winner of each questions gets a Lottery Ticket.

Good luck to all of you on completing your goals!!!!!!! Thanks Funny for starting such a fun thread!!

Awright awright awright!!!! I come into this thread kicking and screaming and grumbling and mumbling and rolling my eyes, okay already!!!!!!

I saw Cindy's (mousecrazy) sig with the Christmas Challenge and HAD to come, now I'm reading through the thread feeling like a dope because I am NOT crafty and giddy and I don't decorate a tree in each room with THEMES?! for goodness sakes!

However, I would like to be at my Tummy Tuck goal weight by Christmas. And I would like to send out my Christmas cards this year. Forget on time, I just want to get them sent out. I missed them last year. :) DOH!

So, in a way, this really is a thread for me, even though I'm a dope, I just don't wanna be such a good one! LOL

Join/Goal/Current? is that It? Nope it's J/G/C...here, I'll fix it.

J 179.2/ C 179.2 /G 165

And I will have my card envelopes addressed BY Thanksgiving. I will have them mailed by Dec 10th. All of them, with a picture of the kids enclosed. So there.

Thanks to all you nutso freaks out there. :heh:

Its the quietness the season offers... the air seems to be filled with peace... the joyfulness in strangers voices... the willingness to help those in need... communities actually work together... neighbors speak to each other instead of just waving by... people seem to have a little more patience with each other... friends/family make special plans to visit one another... more laughter, more kindness, more love during this time.

Christmas IS magical.

THAT's it for me, too! I love that, Paula. Thanks!

I would love to join this wonderful Christmas spirited group. I just got back from a vacation cruise and I'm wincing at the thought of stepping on the scale. I'll do that in the morning and give you my stats then if thats ok FunnyDuddies  I'll look at my favorites and find my Christmas links for crafts etc.

Ok Funny......well stepped on the scale and I gained 2 pounds while on my cruise. Thankfully it was only 2 pounds...whew! I'm loving my band, I know it would of been more than that if I didn't have it! So I'm starting at 230 and i'd like to be in wonderland by Christmas that would take 31 pounds but, I'll say 35. I'd like to weigh 195 by Christmas....ohhh pretty please Santa hee hee

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
