Well I sent you a PM, but just letting the others know too. I think I will be going to MX for surgery now.

Dr Ballem & his staff were wonderful, but unfortunately I would not be covered by insurance & the total cost was over $24,000.

I just can't afford that. :(

So looking at Dr Kelly & Dr Garcia now in Mexico.

Congrats on your 3 week anniversary. Did you start exercising yet? I think I can at week 4 in a couple weeks.

I wish that I could count the running around that I do at my job. Since returning to work, I've had a harder time getting motivated to do anything. I need to check with my doctor to see when I can start using my eliptical.

Congrats 3 weeks! So tell us what are you eating? I am so nervous as to what I will eat

I just started eating soft foods and fish. It's amazing how quick I get full. Still working on not eating to the point where I feel stuffed. Now that I can eat soft foods I'm also working on getting in all of my liquids. The weight is still coming off so it's so worth it!

Congrats 3 weeks! So tell us what are you eating? I am so nervous as to what I will eat

I had my dates all backwards. I just reached 4 weeks yesterday. I am eating just about everything. I eat alot of fish and chicken and tunafish. I eat mashed potatoes and veges and things of similar consistency. all my incisions are all healed and I started walking 4 days a week. I have reached a stall on week 3 and only lost a few pounds but all my clothes are hanging off me so I am sure I have already lost 1-2 dress sizes. From what I read on the boards it is very common to have a stall at week 3. Thats why I started stepping up my walking this week. I see my doc next so hopefully he lets me work out more. I finally am getting my energy back. I really dont have any pain and just a little soreness sometimes. Its been tough but so worth it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
