Packing and ready

Recommended Posts

ok--so I leave for Tijuana in the morning--I am currently packing--I thought I had calmed down a little for the last week from all the nerves, but the nerves are back!!!! I have spent the day with my elderly mom--and now I am thinking things like how much she needs me--and things like that--oh man--if I hadn't already paid...

Anyway, I am leaving tomorrow--surgery is first thing Thursday morning--pray for my nerves to settle down a bit--talk to ya'll when I get back

You will do great! Let us know you're up and about when you feel like it. I slept most of the first two days and couldn't have formed a coherent sentence if you'd paid me.

Oh! I remember those pre-surgery jitters! They were horrible! I didn't sleep at all the night before and I was so tired the morning of surgery. I kept thinking about all the reasons to not have it done and I was scared.

When I woke up from surgery, I was amazed that I didn't have much pain. In fact, it was more discomfort than anything. It only took me a little while to realize that I had nothing to fear, but fear itself and I haven't looked back since!

I wish you the very best and hope that you have a speedy recovery! Enjoy your time while recovering because before you know it, you will have so much energy that you won't want to sit still for long! Keep us all posted!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
