How much did you pay as a self-pay?

Just wondering how much you payed as a self-pay?

Where did you have it done?

My mom is looking to get the sleeve and just found out her insurance has an EXCLUSION for all WLS. I'm sooo sad for her. So we are going to try to appeal but I'm not sure if that will work if there is an exclusion... If anyone has any input on this we'd really really appreciate it.

Thanks :)

I guess that you are talking about a patient of his that died? What is the story on that?

I have never heard of Dr. Ponce and Dr. Garcia. Please share your experiences with these docs so othehr newbies can know their records. Though Dr. Kelly was my doc and I am happy. I am not sure, with his recent death, if I would choose him again.

Looks like mexico is the best bet. My doctor here in Buffalo NY would charge $29,500 straight up for the surgery. WTF! As with any doctor, make sure you get to know them and trust them.

My surgery in total was a little over $20,000 in ohio. Wr borroeed on the house so I habe ,30 yeasrs to pay it back. Sucks but going to be so worth it
