Ok so I want to warn everyone! The day of surgery and 2 days after were no picnic. I am a nurse, and was not prepared for how hellish I felt :( be prepared for the worst. But on a good note, I weigh 12lbs less than last Sunday! I feel better and better everyday. I am going back to work Monday and I get to advance to full liquids including yogurt. So excited. I am in good spirits and hope to keep it up! Yay!

I was sleeved on the 10th and agree with you - the first few days were ROUGH. Today is my first full day at home and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm already on full liquids so that is definitely helping.

The first few days are hard, but remember you just had MAJOR surgery!! My case manager said next to heart surgery, this surgery is next in line! People fail to realize it because they don't really feel that bad, but it is MAJOR!! They remove part of your organ!! Of course you will feel poorly!!

I didn't really feel bad, just tired and sore. Everyday is an improvement. Hang in there!!!

Kelly :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
