What portion should I eat (1/4 cup, 1/2 cup?)

My surgeon said I can eat eggs etc at week 2 post op but I don't recall ever being told how much we can eat and that is bothering me. What were others told? 1/4 cup? 1/2 cup? I don't want to eat until I'm full. I want to make sure I"m not eating too much

My doc said 1/4 until week 5 but each is different. I'd call and check

Eat until just before the full feeling , which in the beginning for me was 1/4 cup. I'm 6 months out and eat about 3/4 cup of food. I don't eat until I'm totally full. You will get better at knowing nice you are further out. My NUT told me never more than a half cup. I'm never hungry anymore so I just eat according to the clock.

During the pureed/mushy stage I was told a quarter cup. I ate scrambled egg almost every morning---I bought medium eggs--but still couldn't finish a whole one if I also wanted 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese to accompany it for variety. (My little chihuahua lucked out and got scrambled eggs everytime I couldn't finish mine.) By the time I was due to transition to soft foods my stomach could hold 1/3 cup and now I'm at 1/2 cup (weeks 5 and 6).
