Mine started to come out at about 12 weeks and is still coming out. However, I read someplace that only 70% lose hair. Maybe you will be in the lucky 30%! Also, no one goes bald, at least not from one surgery/rapid weight loss. Mine was already thin from hypothyroidism, so I'm hoping mine stops soon. It's only at the crown that I notice it, seems really flat up there. No one else has said a word, so I don't think it's apparent.

Mine started falling out right away and has slowed down significantly I am 8wks post op. I figure it's about the same amount as I lost after all 4 of my pregnancies the great "hormone dump shed"

I did too, never went bald but it did thin a lot. Then it all grew back so all was well.

I started experiencing some hair loss about 4.5-5 months out and am still experiencing it. No one can tell except me and maybe my hairdresser, but I do notice a lot of hair coming out in the shower and when brushing my hair. I'm just hoping that it will stop sometime soon.

Most everyone I know who has experienced Hair loss says that no one else noticed and that of course it grows back in time.

thanks Jane and Lindsey. I've got short hair to begin with. just want to be prepared. several on line articles stress keeping the Protein intake over 70grms. and taking Biotin, etc. I plan to try to do this to mitigate the loss. thanks again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
