My Dr. said to wait 6 weeks.

SIX WEEKS? Your doctor is a sadist. LOL, interesting to hear the different answers from different doctors to the same questions...

I have plenty of drive, but have been mostly impotent (too flacid for intercourse) due to the 15 pills I take every day for Diabetes and High Blood Pressure.

After my surgery and I loose 100 pounds AND stop taking most of the medication, might my erections become sufficient for sex?

I am 62.

My wife is all for it (the surgery AND a new, harder me. :-)

I can't tell you what your results will be. But, a gentleman friend of the family was in a similar situation and he and his wife were very pleased with the way things went after he has his sleeve surgery. I'm sure your doctor can give you realistic expectations based on you medical history.

Doctor said when I felt up to it. (That would've been day 10 ;) ) Hubby said my libido is at an all time high. Little does he know it will get a lot higher. LOL.....

Humpty your doctor is mean! lol When you feel like it, do it - it doesn't have to be a marathon haha, just fool around and see where it goes. :D

Hmmm... that sounds... bizarre. Maybe he's not getting any so he doesn't want anyone else to? LOL

That's one doctor's directive I'd probably just... well... cheat ;)

Hey! It burns calories!

My drive before surgery was fine....the actual act wore me out and it wasn't that involved! LOL I waited 2-3 weeks after surgery, I just didn't feel like it, but since then, we've had a LOT of fun! My old lingerie is fitting again and all the estrogen dumping (it's stored in fat) has put my drive in over-drive!! Watch out DH! LOL! Have I mentioned that I love my sleeve??!!

I have basically zero sex drive, but I am not sure if this began shortly before the surgery or only right after. But it was definitely right around my surgery time that I started having these problems.

what about before? I mean if we have to wait two weeks-

then can someone e-mail my wife and let her know this week is very important...

thanx-

ROFLMAO! hahahahahahhaa!

You're such a nut! and don't think it escaped me that you're also wanting someone to ply her with alcohol for you as well. I hope that's a chocolate martini!

ohman...I giggle-snorted just as I was taking a sip of Gatorade. If I have red boogies later I'm calling your wife and telling her the dr said NONE for you this week! LOL

Did he clarify if that was giving or receiving? B)

I think I waited like 2 weeks and I didn't mind it...keep in mind I've been married 20-some years so it was no big deal for me. The hubby on the other hand....was a big deal for him lol

My "drive" hasn't increased so much BUT I'm on a lot of meds that hamper it so that's no surprise. I know when we do have sex now I feel more confident in myself and so it's better than it has been in years.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
