How long do you have to wait after surgery to indulge? Did anyone have any complications? Does your drive increase or decrease? I have tons of questions. I am new and I hope this is not being too forward

I was told that once I felt able to that I could go right ahead. I waited 2 weeks after surgery. I didn't have any problems. I think that my sex drive increased at about 4 weeks because I felt lighter, smaller, just overall in better shape and better health that I honestly couldn't stop thinking about sex (*blushes*) But I guess it would depend on what your doctor says. I think I could have had sex on day 5 but my bf was not having it (literally), he was scared that it was too early.

I do believe MOST surgeons say wait until you are able to or feel like it. As far as an increase libdo goes......... Mine jump off the charts. LOL. You will love your sleeve.

Pre-surgery, I had lost all of my drive because of all the pills that I was taking. Now 6 weeks post op and off most of those pills (from 20 to 3) I have finally gotten a little bit of my old self back. I actually cried because of it. So for me it was 5 weeks and 2 days My doc said 2-3 weeks officially though LOL.

I waited about 2 weeks, and I think your drive will increase - the more you lose and your body changes, the more sexy you will feel

I was told to wait 2 weeks, and I did ...to the minute! I can't say that my sex drive is up but I now love morning sex and absolutely hated it before! I too feel much more confidant and I still have 94lbs to go! It's amazing how good you feel when you make positive changes in yourself!

what about before? I mean if we have to wait two weeks-

then can someone e-mail my wife and let her know this week is very important...

This week is very important. Think of all the calories he will burn prior to surgery.

I waited a week. In the beginning you don't have a lot of energy but as you start eating more the energy comes back and all is well!

come on folks help a guy out-

I was back in action in the first week. BUT I did not really do much. You will see that your energy is very low and you don't want to do anything that will engage your abs too much - I imagine this would affect the men more than the women :-) The bottom line is to do it when you feel like it and be VERY careful and take it easy.

As far as sex drive goes, you will be really tired in the first few weeks. I had little flashes of sex drive and I would try to take advantage of them. Now that I am healed, I would say my drive is just as good as it was before, but my body feels better and I feel more confident.

Sex drive was never really a problem for me

I've already started buying new lingerie. Seriously. Cannot. Wait.

I have plenty of drive, but have been mostly impotent (too flacid for intercourse) due to the 15 pills I take every day for Diabetes and High Blood Pressure.

After my surgery and I loose 100 pounds AND stop taking most of the medication, might my erections become sufficient for sex?

I am 62.

My wife is all for it (the surgery AND a new, harder me. :-)

Heh, this has become a bit of a issue in this house...

Hubby had a vasectomy two weeks before I had surgery. He was told no sex for two weeks (we gave in two days before my surgery anyway LOL). Now, my surgery was almost two weeks ago. My surgeon said 2-3 weeks or when I feel comfortable. I'm thinking my stomach muscles are almost well enough. WooHoo!! It's been like once in four freaking weeks. Not okay! We've been married for 18 years and he's ex-Navy, so we've had longer stretches, but sheesh!

I bet hubby HOPES my sex drive doesn't increase anymore after surgery. That's never, err... been an issue I've always had a higher sex drive than he has (okay, than most people, LOL).

My Dr. said to wait 6 weeks.
