Is there any recommend time period to wait after surgey before having sex?

I waited until I was in the recovery room. Your Drs discharge instructions should tell you their recommendation. Mine said 6 weeks, I think we waited until after 2 weeks. The important part is that you're not feeling any discomfort from the "activity".

At my pre-op orientation, the NP said that there is no medical reason to wait. She said just make sure you aren't in any pain.

My surgeons instructions were to wait a minimum of 2 weeks.

Man am I glad I read the entire post and didn't just respond what I was thinkin from reading the title. That could have been embarrassing

not quite sure how long after my wife's surgery- between taking care of her- working-

sex was the last thing on my mind... NOT !

maybe 2 weeks-

after my surgery- ASAP!- I don't care if I have pain or not-

I just hope I have stamina.
