I am about a month out. And for the past couple weeks I haven't been losing much (if anything) which completely went to a stop and now I have gained a couple pounds. I am working out and tracking everything, but I wanted to know if anybody had any advice to give on how I could lose weight quicker (or actually at this point lose weight at all!) thanks so much

The dreaded 3-5 week stall strikes again! If you search for "stall" on the board, you will see that almost every single person had the same concern in the first month.

Make sure you are eating according to doctors orders, maybe add a little carb to get things going, drink tons of fluids, and then walk away from the scale for several days :-) The weight will come off. Your body is adjusting to the shock of the surgery and lack of calories. Things will get moving again.

RevmeUp is right--your body is adjusting. Keep eating, drinking, walking, and taking your supplements according to your plan and the scale will start moving again. Don't sweat it.

That is encouraging to hear! I am a month out also and lost 25 since but mainly all in the first 2 weeks! I keep feeling like a failure! But it is true, I weigh myself everyday and get mad at myself when all I've been doing is fluctuating. I will try very hard not to weigh everyday and just once a week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
