yep...I put a plateful down and can't eat it all !!!!! It surprises me EVERY time!!!!! ...when I think of how much I USED to eat!!!!......don't do the small plate thing....just learning to live with this new tummy as normally as possible...and so happy with the restriction....and enjoy the food I can eat now...all of it!! A real variety of meats ...if I have enough, I start burping...and that's it...sometimes my mouth is full and I realize as I am chewing ..I'm done! already!...then I have to spit it out coz I know there's no way its going dowwwwnn.... (but not in restaurants..lol)....unbelievable! truly delighted......hope this is how it will be....forever and ever and ever and ever....!!! yipppeeeee...(again)

Did have the stall changing to solids..(over a week..grrr) but that seems to have worked itself out...

The best side effect of all this is the LACK of cravings...no sweet tooth really! There seems to be a shake to cover any desire I might get..(hence havin' a little protein!)...get very creative with flavours and mix-ups(I get bored TOO easily and we don't have the variety in cans in Canada that you Americans do...lucky things).....but gone are the cupcakes I LIVED on!!! (and they actually look kinda yucky at the store...stunned at this!)

Have a huge cup of crystal light (34oz) with Isopure in the afternoon at work...every day if I can....that helps I think.

April 9 to now....24down....and losing.

I'll sneak another little yippeee.

Isn't it amazing? To think that I cannot eat a whole egg when I think of the two-egg scramble, 3 pancake, 2 sausage link breakfasts I used to put away easily!

10 days and 24 lbs--Yay you!!! congrats!

That is so wonderful! I could eat almost a whole large pizza by myself, along with a lot of Coke...I really packed it away too. But then to me food was a great reward, going out to eat was my pick me up....now it will be just a way to fuel myself.

congratulations and thanks for sharing!

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but it won't always be this way. Not for me anyway. I am 10 months out now. Almost 11. At first I could only eat 1 egg or less. Only eat a few bites of anything. Now I can eat much more. I can have 4 ounces of chicken or beef plus squeeze in a few fries. Enjoy this "Honeymoon" phase. It doesn't last that long.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
