How soon were you allowed to go home after surgery?

I'm really worried about this, as I have a two year old at home. I'm hoping they'll let me go home the next day, but don't know if this is realistic or not. Please let me know when your doctors sent you home. Thanks!

My surgery will be next Monday and I'll go home on Tuesday

My surgery was outpatient. In the OR at 7:30 and discharged at 2:00 that same day.

No matter how long you stay, you MUST have help at home for the first few days especially. If you child is still in diapers, you will need a plan since you should not be lifting over 10 pounds for the first few weeks.

My husband is taking time off to help out. I just don't want him to feel like he should be in two places at once to take care of us.
