Get rid of cold before sleeve day

I have my sleeve in just 6 days and today I'm noticing I'm sneezing a lot

and feel like I'm coming down with a cold! Question is, if I get a head cold and still have it on sleeve day, will they still do the surgery?Hopefully, no temp. or chest congestion!

What is something I can do NOW to try and lessen the severity of this cold? Does

Zycam actually work? Load up on vitamins? Stay hydrated? Any suggestions? I am REALLY worried I won't be able to get sleeved. I already bought plane ticket, paid for sleeve, and am taking 3 weeks off work. I CAN'T put it off til later. Help! Thanks!

Have you tried a nasal rinse? I use a netti pot and it clears out the sinuses. Your sneezing might be allergy related so a good clean of the sinuses would be helpful. Just an FYI you should use distilled water or previously boiled water as some bugs that live in water love to multiply in the sinuses (Pseudomonas). You should use it every day to keep things cleared before your surgery.

sorry double post

I also use Zycan. You do NOT want to sneeze after your surgery!

I am getting sick too!!! My surgery is Monday and I have had a bad cold ALL week! I think it is going to be gone by Monday. At least I hope and pray! As long as I don't have a fever, they will do the surgery. Also, my surgeon said I could take Sudafed! Good luck to you. I have been stressing out BIG TIME!!
