  1. Hello all, I was sleeved March 15,2011 by Dr.Kelly.I started at 265lbs and by September/October I was down to 165lbs. 100lbs lost! woohoo! well, 3 weeks ago, I found I am pregnant.(about 7 weeks along now). I've had polycystic ovarian syndrome since I was 13yrs old and have 2 children ages 18yrs and 11yrs.old. While we did want one more child before our child-bearing years were over(I am 38yrs old and my hubby is almost 40yrs old), I have to say this was certainly a big surprise! I am ecstatic! And then again, terrified of gaining a lot of weight back that I worked so HARD to lose you know? I understand I will probably need to gain 15-25lbs but I am worried out about what that's going to be like...seeing the scale creeping up. And even though I KNOW it's for a good cause and it's really ok to gain some, I'm already somewhat freaking out. In 3 weeks I've gained 7lbs! Wut the heck??That CAN'T be right! Now I don't plan on "dieting" while pregnant, but is it possible to lose just those few pounds I just now gained? Honestly, I don't see how I even GAINED weight already! The most calories I probably had in one was like 1800 or so. More than my usual but certainly not enough to gain so much that fast right? Anyway, any advice out there for a prego like me? I want to gain the LEAST amount of weight possible without jeopardizing my little poppyseed (baby). thanks! Dinah
  2. Haven't been on here for awhile. Have lost 107lbs all together(Been on a break last few months) but I will get to nmy goal weight of 135lbs. Only20-25lbs to go.Doing well, still LOTS of compliments. Can't believe it's been over a YEAR since my sleeve!! I still love it, just that my tummy is a lot more sensitive now to things, but that's okay.Hope everyone is doing well!

  3. so like 10 days now sort of dieting(eating very low calorie) and NO WEIGHT LOSS! wtf??? It is REALLY frustrating me! Here I am trying hard to get back on track and lost 7lbs the 1st week or so, and now NOTHING! How am I supposed to stay motivated if this crap is all I get?

  9. totally normal! No worries. I gained like 8lbs from the fluids and gas. It all came off and I lost 100lbs in 6 months. From March 15th,2011 to Sept.,2011. I've been somewut "messing around" thses last few months so I do indeed have about 30-40lbs to my goal, but I'm back on track now and already down 7 mor pounds in a week. It will come, be patient. you did the right thing by getting the sleeve. I LOVE mine and would do it again if i had to. Good Luck!

    Absolutely The Worst Experience

I feel your pain sister! Just hang in there. When I woke up from surgery it too was a horrendous nightmare. I was in terrible pain, but worse i was dry heaving nothing like you. I was terrified I was going to ruin my sleeve and /or barf up my stomach! It was definately a nightmare...BUT, it did get better with each passing day and I am SO glad i went through what i did because I lost 100lbs the first 6 months. From 265lbs to 165lbs March to September 2011. Unfortunately I let myself get off track for a while (I stopped dieting and also I was pregnant and miscarried) so I still have about 35-40lbs to go to my goal but i'll get there. And you will too. Keep the faith, it IS WORTH THE STRUGGLE! Good luck!
