I know it has been said before but you are such a blessing to all of us newbies and wantabes! I have hung on all of your responses and posts and used them to help me get to where I am! I think a lot of sleevers use this site only while they are losing and then forget about it (which I guess that means they are living their new life which is good). You keep coming back to help all of us behind you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. the pictures are amazing!!!!

I couldn't agree more!!!! You are beautiful inside and out! You DO indeed have such a sweet-looking family, too!

Obviously, the first ones are pre-op, but I had had my band placed for almost 2 months when these were done so this isn't even technically at my heaviest. I think I was around 250-255lbs in these.

The second set were taken today ! ! !

Here's proof the sleeve works. No matter where you are in the process, DO NOT GIVE UP. . . This is the best thing in the entire world. Take care of yourself, your body, your mind, and your spirit ! ! !

Holy crud, hot mama! Those almost look like they're a different person -- in a good way!

It always amazes me how losing significant weight can also make a person look younger; it shows up in your pictures too.

Great job!

Ya.. I just managed to choke down my Satan's Spit (magensium citrate). You should've seen how long it took me and the side eye I was giving it. I finally had to go stand at the sink and make myself down it all alternating w/ shots of Water. I was SORELY tempted to say to hell with it and eat the slice of pizza in the ffridge!!! What's hilarious is I kept mentally playing these pics in my head and thinking of the fishing poles we looked at on Sunday.. and the tank tops this summer... LOL

Oh man I remember doing that.. I was about to lose my mind lol.. BUT I promise you will not ever want to go back once your wls is done! It is wonderful to lose the weight dont get me wrong BUT the freedom you will have from food is so amazing! The control that right now feels almost normal will be gone! It is so amazing to eat to live instead of living to eat. It is about 1:30 here and I haven't eaten yet today. I dont really feel hungry but I know I should eat. Before I would have been fighting myself to just wait til lunch to eat and now Im that person that says, "Oh I forgot to eat" WHO DOES THAT!! Im so happy for you to join us on the other side!

Awe girl I'm so sorry! I know I thought what the hell did I just do to my self those first few days but honestly I think of the pain the same mothers talk about child birth. I only remember what I wrote down not real memories themselves. So I promise this too will pass! It is worth it! You are now in control of your own future!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
