4 more pounds down, uhh wasn't even trying.

Recommended Posts

Ok, I held steady over the holiday season. I weighed myself a couple days after Christmas and I had not gained a single pound (that felt like a victory itself). I fell off the exercise wagon but I have stayed very active and busy. Then I decided to weigh last friday just to see where I was and I have lost 4 more pounds since Christmas without doing a dang thing other then not having the access to the holiday goodies. I weighed again today to make sure it wasn't some sort of fluke and nope I weighed 4 pounds less then Christmas.

I went to my hubby and asked him how the heck he thought that happened. He looked at me like I was retarded and said "uhh you don't eat very much"? Then he proceeded to ask me what I ate the day before and when I started going over the last 3 or 4 days I realized he is right. I mean I don't know when my head hunger finally slowed down. It must have been sometime through the holidays when I just stopped thinking about food a ton. I remember posting something about head hunger and thinking of taking an appetite suppressant then here it is a month or 6 weeks later and I realize I may get a craving for something but I just don't eat that much. It is amazing, it is simple but amazing. I have a hard time wrapping my head around it. I knew that was why I was having the surgery but I think it took a little longer for me to adjust physically and mentally to it all.

So enough rambling. I just was in awe of my sleeve and my results. It is awesome to think I can spend the rest of my life eating like I do, feeling satisfied and maintaining a healthy body. Hopefully this motivates someone, hell it has motivated me.

Isn't it just amazing? I can't wait until I get to my goal and can go through my life without panicking about gaining all of the weight back like in the days of old :-)

Congrats....I have been in a stall for this past week, stuck at 188. After having a great meeting with the nutritionist for my 6 week followup and she documented an average of 4.5 lbs a week and now nothing. But I have not gained and hopefully the weather will warm up so I can get out and walk some more.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
