African American Sleevers

  • Popular Post

Hi All!

I wanted to start a thread for African-American sleevers (no worries I HEART all sleevers from the rainbow). I just thought, no scientific proof, that African-American sleevers may respond to the surgery different than our lovely non-African American sleeved sisters and brothers. I wanted to know if we had the same skin issue, hair problems, and other surgery related issues. Also, how to deal with the culture shock. African-American "soul food" may be something of the past... or not. So I was just looking for a space to voice culture related issues and concens.

PS- I TRULY  ALL SLEEVERS.

Muscle Milk.... Lactose/milk free and good

I've tried these. They leave a bad aftertaste.. But thx. On second thought, I haven't tried it on ice or frozen. May give it another try.

Glucerna Hunger Smart chocolate shakes are lactose-free, 15 gm protein, 5 gm fiber, and yummy! Muscle Milk is a little too sweet for me.

Can u recommend a high protein shake that isn't milk based? I could tolerate the premiere for about a week before my lactose problem kicked in.

I bought some Lactaid pills out of the pharmacy department at Walmart. I had a dumping experience after cottage cheese. Now I take no chances.

You can try zero carb Isopure. It looks like Gatorade and comes in a variety of favors. It's RTD in 20 oz bottle and has 40 grams of Protein. You can get it at GNC, Vitamin world, Vitamin Shoppe. You can also try Syntrax nectar, you can buy it online. Also the unjury chicken Soup isn't bad and I think it's about 21 gm of protein.
