For the psych, I had to fill out a questionnaire and then take the MMPI--a long test with strange questions. Then the psychologist asked me a few questions. That was it.

For the nutritionist, I met with a P.A. who outlined what I could expect to be able to eat after surgery, and stressed low carb, high Protein. He told me what Vitamins and supplements I would need as well. He told me I would lose hair if I didn't get enough protein, and get lightheaded or headachy if I didn't drink enough fluids. I would have liked to have gotten into more specifics regarding the dietary restrictions, but there were other patients waiting in line to speak to him. So basically there wasn't much to either consult. Of course, yours may be different.

I did it! It was simple and easy! I had a questionare, a long talk with the psych, a MMRI test, then a quick visit with the nutrionist! I am going to schedule some therapy sessions every other week. My psych felt like I needed some help transitioning after surgery and dealing with some issues I have with my parents....but that regardless I'm a great candidate for the sleeve!! WooHoo!! Now I just have to wait 2-4 weeks for my insurance to approve my sleeve!!! I'm SO ready!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
