Canada - how many calories?

Recommended Posts

I'm curious, once on solid food, how many calories are you consuming in a day and what kind of foods are you eating to get proper nutrition and enough calories to survive?

Personally....I have no idea. I'm not currently (nor planning to) actually count calories. If I do, it is too much like a "diet" to me and I can't stand doing that. I'm just eating "healthy" & making wise choices/decisions. So far so good.

Hi: I track my daily intake on the Spark website and find I am eating between 1,000 and 1500 calories a day. With exercise that amounts to about 1 lb a week or less which is what I am told I must be accomplishing. Measuring the food 3 0z Protein and 1/2 cup carbs or 1 cup protein, veggies in my opinion is more important than counting calories. Doddie

I dont really count calories per se, but I do from time to time do a tally for the day just to make sure that I am not starting to over eat.

I normally fall into the 1400-1700 cal per day. I think sometimes I should be eating more as 6' man burning about 900 cal per workout in addition to my BMR but I will stick to what is currently working.

Woody, shouldn't we be asking you? You have reached your goal. Congratulations. I am curious.. how do you stop losing weight once you are where you want to be? I don't count calories. I really do think I need to get more Protein in a day. I may be lacking there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
