Damn stretch marks...Do they go away?

Recommended Posts

Or can you do something about them? Can anyone recommend good lotions or anything that are good at making them go away?

I don't think theres anything that can make them go totally... but I'm using Bio Oil for my scars and also slapping it on the stretch marks too...they do look less worse also if you have a bit of a tan.

Stretch marks will not go away. They are essentially scars, and they will become less visible when you lose weight, but they aren't going anywhere. Mederma makes a scar cream and a stretch mark cream. I used the Mederma for a bit, but didn't really stick with it. My son has a small scar(head met metal truck bumper and he needed sutures) on his forehead that he's pretty insecure over. He used the Mederma religiously for a solid 6 months with no noticeable change in the scar appearance.

I hear prefer-on works pretty good. I use a heavy cocoa butter body butter that has Vitamin E infused in it.

I have the completely opposite happen with my stretch marks when I tan. My stretch marks do not tan at all, and look like glowing white stripes on my hips, boobs, and tummy. I have those little thin stretch marks, and they've faded as I've lost my weight, but they're still there.

Yup, afraid it's true. The little buggers don't disappear no matter what you do. You might have some luck covering them with self-tanning cream or tan towels. And I have a friend who has an expert do a specially mixed spray tan for her during swim season. It's expensive but she looks fab.

And the loose skin is another lovely little issue. I'm finding that my upper arms are probably never going to have nice definition, just stoopid sagging on the underside. It sucks when you stop waving goodbye and your underarms don't!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
