Despite EVERYTHING, I am going through with surgery!

:rolleyes:I have decided to go through with having the sleeve surgery, despite my first attempt. I am going to a different doctor at a different facility. I am having and EKG and stress test here in the states first to clear me. The facility that I am going to is aware that I had complications and are going to come up with a plan that will give both them and myself peace of mind that I will come through successfully.

I feel that I need to do this for several reasons, one being that I can't live in fear of surgery, two because I am stubborn and want to kick that crappy memory in the butt, and three because I have been assured by my doctor (whom I have a long history with) that there should be no reason for me not to do well, four because I think what happened was bull sh*t and I don't believe the anesthesiologist was forthcoming with me about what medication I was given. Last but not least I WANT A SLEEVE DANGIT!

It looks like surgery will probably be next month after my children start back to school and it will give me a little over a month to recover before I head out of state to visit relatives for a two week vaca.

So for those who were rooting for me. I appreciate it.

What a brave person you are. Facing fears is a HUGE thing to do. I will pray for you to find peace the day of your surgery (and...weeks prior). Keep us informed so we can help you through this 'scary' time....

We're here for you.:001_tt2:

I'm glad you've made the decision to try again. I will hope and pray for a fabulous experience, so you can put that awful memory behind you.

Wow! I've got to hand it to you. I don't know if I could conquer the memory of a past incident like you had. I think it's great that you are going to "get back in the saddle" and go for what you want in spite of your experience.

With an attitude like that, how can you fail? I'll be rooting for you!

Good to hear you're not giving up. You'll do great. Good Luck and best wishes. Keep us posted.

I'm so happy for you. It was so unfair that you went through all that you did and didn't even have a sleeve. You won't be sorry !!!!
