hey Im new and super excited

HI, I am so excited!!! I am 34 and have been overweight my entire life. I am a nurse in the OR and I have been wanting this procedure since I first saw it. When I found out my insurance (bcbs TX) started covering it I made an appointment right away. Tonight I have a "webinar" with the Dr.'s office and then Friday I go see him. Tomorrow I go see my regular Dr. so I can start my three months supervised diet. I really hope i can have the sleeve in October. I am so glad I found this forum. I think it is so great how everyone supports each other. I look forward to sharing my journey with you all.:biggrin0:

Thanks For all the support! Wish Me luck I go see the surgeon tomorrow. Hopefully I can Be sleeved in October. The sooner the better!!

Isn't it amazing how many of us are nurses? I think it is because we are really good at taking care of other people, but not ourselves! Maybe we should start a thread to see how many nurses there are on here!!

I totally hear you!! I am 42, a nurse in a busy ER. My kids are now both in college and I am newly divorced after 24 years. I am sooooo ready to start putting myself first! I have alot of life left to live and I want to live it to the fullest!! Good luck in your journey, can't wait to read how you are doing!!

welcome, Im new too and Im totally jealous your insurance covers it, this one is going to cost a few dollars, but to me its totally worth it.... I swear I could have paid for this twice by now if I would have done it right in the first place rather then all of the weight management companies i have given my money to lol....

Im just waiting to talk to my Dr on Tuesday and if I get the okay, I will be scheduled for Sept 16th...

very very exciting!!!
