1 Month Anniversary....down 27 pounds

Recommended Posts

It's been one month and I feel great! I've already lost 27 pounds, have more energy, seem happier, (even ask my husband...LOL) and am enjoying the thinner me.

I have had a few days were my weight will jump up a pound, then go down a pound or even stay the same but my body is still trying to figure out what I did to it! I know I am losing inches because I can get into clothes I couldn't before. I can actually either zip or button things I couldn't a month ago.

I also have a thyroid problem that made it hard to lose weight. I lost more in the last month than I did dieting all last year! This was one of the best things we could have decided to do.

Best wishes to all and hopefully you feel as great as I do!

Glad to hear of your success so far. My sleeve date is close to yours. I was sleeved on 5/25/10. I have currently lost 17 pounds. My clothes aren't feeling so tight anymore lol it feels so good to actually be able to button something up without straining and sucking in your gut! Last night I actually was able to remove my shorts without unbuttoning/unzipping them! Oh what a nice feeling that was!

I took have an underactive thyroid, so I have battled this weight for yrs.

Im having alot of heartburn that I hope will eventually go away. Other than that, things are great!

For the first time ever in my life I am so aware of everthing I put in my mouth and the nutritional value of it...This is clearly one of the best things I have ever done!.

Good luck to you!

Congratulations! Sounds like you're doing great!

How many calories are you getting in each day? Are you counting carbs?

I am consuming approx. 800 cal. a day. Trying to take in at 60-80 g of Protein. Keeping the carbs and calories low.

I couldnt stand the taste of the chewable vitamins that I bought from my surgeon, so I am currently taking the Centrum chewables, plus the sublingual vit B.

Im trying to take in 64oz of Water, but I have to admit, some days I dont get it all down.

I haven't really been counting anything to be honest. I have had chicken, tuna, scrambled eggs, hamburger, things like that. I eat until I feel like I'm feeling full...(which isn't much) I bought a whey Protein powder from GNC and use that in milk.

We went out to eat Breakfast and I ordered 1 scrambled egg and a side of sausage. (The side was 3 links). I ate the egg, 1 sausage link, and stole 1/2 piece of hubby's bacon. I gave him one sausage link and brough the other one home with the orange slices they put on your plate.

Can I ask what you are following? I'd like to know if I should be doing something better. Thanks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
