I can't believe my surgery is the day after tomorrow! I thought the time would pass slowly but in fact it's been going by really fast. I've had a lot to do and today is no exception. I have my pulmonary testing today at 1:00, then my preop testing at the hospital at 2:00, and my preop appointment with my surgeon at 2:30. The hubby is tagging along today too as he has his pulmonary testing after me, at 2:00.

I am feeling a little nervous but not too bad! Might be worse tomorrow and the day of, I'm not sure. But I felt a lot more nervous before my consult than I do right now! Haha.

Got my Protein powder yesterday from Max Muscle. My choice was Peanut Butter fudge. It was the least sweet of the different flavors I tried.

Right now I am just looking forward to being on the other side of all this, coming home, resting. My best friend is coming in from Chicago to be with me for a whole week which will be awesome! Major Sex and the City marathon is going to happen (I've never watched the show and a friend lent me the whole series.)

Today I'm going to start packing my bags for the hospital! Whoo!:thumbup1:

Hope your final pre-op tests and packing go smoothly!

Best of luck with your surgery and recovery! The first couple of days might be lousy but it gets better quickly!!!

Woohoo to being so close ! ! ! I'm a huge SATC fan, and you'll love it. It's fun to identify with the characters, and kind of live vicariously through them LOL.

It's great your bestie will be with you. Best wishes to you and the husband on all your appointments today.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
