Champ, I'm so glad to hear that they've got her on antibiotics, and fingers crossed that the leak is repaired. Hang in there, and know we're all here for you.

Update: We had the CT scan last night and the Dr. came in this morning to tell us everything looks good. She does have an infection from the drain site that was removed, but it is not spreading and they have her on antibiotics. The CT scan also showed the stents are still in place and they did not show any leakage. She will have to come back to the hospital next week for a couple days to have the stent removed, test for the leak, and replace the stents if the leak is still there, I'm praying it will NOT be there.

Very good news!!

I hope you are both able to get some well deserved rest today!

I'm so sorry to hear about the complications your wife has been experiencing. I don't have any experience with a leak, but I have had family members in the hospital for extended periods of time. It's hard on everyone.

I feel ok. I have cramping feeling in my abdomin so the nurse said I should come into the office tomorrow. So we will see. I am still nervous about something else happening.

I am very sorry for your wife and the pain and worry this is causing for you both. My hopes and prayers for that leak to heal and that this process will be bearable for your wife and yourself. Now is the time to muster up faith and ask the good Lord to provide for your needs. Jesus was called the great physician, may His healing touch your wife down to every cell in her body. And through Him may peace and security be restored to your family.

Amen Lis!!

I agree and I am lifting this family up in prayer!!

Champ,

Things sound so much more positive. I am glad to hear that you are moving in a better direction. I hope things continue to go well. Take this as a time to realize just how much you love that wife of yours. What a blessing to know that. Let her know that there is a legion of fellow sleevers here thinking and praying for the both of you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
