Well the good news is that I got in >64 oz Water, >60g Protein, all my Vitamins and minerals, and about a mile walking today. The fever and tickle/cough is still there, but it's still fairly low grade, and it actually has moments of fading away. Hopefully in a day or two it (the fever) will be gone and I'll just be working on the daily business of making sure I get enough Water and Protein and Vitamins.< /p>

I'm really glad I decided to take a week to work from home; I don't think I'd want to try to juggle my commute as well as all of the pills and liquids and stuff I have to take! Hopefully this will all get easier as it becomes a habit...

I think that some of my headache, icky feeling from earlier was dehydration; I had let it go to 1 o'clock and I'd only had 16 oz of water! I made it a priority after that and felt better.

I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better. Great job too--all your fluids, all your Protein, and a mile???!!!! That's wonderful!

Ah, hello fellow PSSC sleever!

Yeah, the first few days are rough. Or maybe I'm just a wimp, who knows ;) But it's definitely requiring me to juggle a lot of things at once -- Water, Protein, Vitamins, sipping, etc.

I get the feeling that once this first week or so is past, it'll be smooth sailing.

;)

When I met with Dr. Landerholm earlier this week for my post-op, he said I was right on par with how tired I looked (gee, thanks *lol*) but it gets way better very soon. I liked him and appreciated his honesty. No regrets with PSSC. I start my puree (hell) tomorrow .. this will be a rough week (puree meat?) *ick* .. ahhh .. I will make this work somehow :)

Isn't Dr. L a great guy? He's been so very caring and open with me. I was able to call after hours about my fever, and he was pretty effective at calming me down and explaining that some fever post-op is normal.

PSSC has great docs and medical staff. Their administrative staff can be a little annoying, but honestly I picked them for their medical skill, not for how quickly someone at the front desk answers the phones!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
