Stomach aches after eating

Recommended Posts

Good Morning everyone!

I have a question for you all. I get stomach aches after I eat, almost every time. Is this normal? I did have a bout of pneumonia about a week after surgery and I was loaded with antibiotics. I thought I might need to eat some yogurt to get the normal bacterial flora back into my gut.

Thanks for the help!

Laura

I get stomach aches only if I eat too fast... (which for me is a learning tool) We really have to eat as if we have a baby spoon and chew slowly from there.

I don't know your case in particular but this is what has happened to me.

I kind of get an uncomfortable tummy ache after eating almost every time. I just figured my tummy needed time to catch up. My doctor said it was nothing, and it does seem to get a little better over time, so hopefully it will go away all together someday!! Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.

My stomach reacts differently when I try a new food - it gurgles like crazy. It only aches if I eat too fast or too much. If I put 2 oz of something on my plate, I feel like I need to finish it, and really, I need to stop when I start getting that full feeling. One or two more bites is enough to make me miserable.

I did also get a sick tummy after taking some pain meds for my back during the first week after surgery. I think my stomach just wasn't ready for meds. I am now able to take a lower dose if needed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
