Anyone heard from Stoongal, and her family

Recommended Posts

I'm really surprised we haven't had any threads from stoongal or her 2 family members that recently had surgery.

Anyone been able to contact them to ensure they are all doing well?

I know they should be back by now, and Donna is usually on the boards fairly regularly.

Just want to let y'all know we're all thinking of you all, and hope you are recovering well.

Let us know how everything went, and how y'all are doing ! ! !

I was just looking at her and her daughter's pictures. I hope everything went well and can't wait for an update.

I sent her an Email yesterday. I am concerned also. I know daughter Allison has trouble with anesthesia, so I am just praying there were no complications.

She should answer back soon.

God Bless you Donna and your family.

YES - Allison posted on the Cdn forum that she is home and doing great. What a relief. I suggested she get on the other threads and let everybody know.

Hello all!

Alison, Linda and I all had our surgery on the same day. and we are all home doing fine. The only negative part of my trip was lost luggage (which BTW I still don't have). The facility was very clean. The staff was very courteous and I had no problem communicating my needs to them. I had no pain whatsoever after the surgery. I actually declined the pain medicine as it was not necessary. But I am home now and I feel great and have lost 10 lbs so far. Tomorrow I probablly won't feel to good though because I get my stitches removed. I am so excited to be on this journey. I will let everyone know that you are waiting to hear from them. Have a great day!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
