Howdy from Newbie

Hi All,

I would like to say Hi to everyone. My name is Pennie and I am scheduled to be sleeved on Dec 2nd by Dr. Patrick Chiasson in Tucson. I am really excited but also full of questions so I am thrilled to have found this forum.

I wrote in another thread how I am coming to the end of the "Last Suppers" and am ready to eat to be in the best shape possible for the surgery. Wish me luck!

Thanks all for your support.

Welcome Pennie!

Yes, this site is a godsend to newbies! I was one not very long ago, starting on here beginning of Sept and now in my 5th week postop. I still check it out everyday to see if anyone needs any advice I am qualified to give.

My best advice I think is to know that this is a relatively easy surgery and not to get too worried about most aspects of it. Be thankful you have made the hard decision to undergo it and your life will then go in another direction indeed. You will love the freedom from cravings and hunger and be thrilled to see the pounds melt off, but you will also feel the frustration of the inevitable stalls, when the scales don't want to budge! In the long run, you will be very happy how you will look and feel.

Once again, welcome to the family!

Hi Free,

I am scheduled for Dec. 4 with Dr. Aceves and also thinking about the pre-op diet. I am also nervous but know I will be worse when the time is shorter. Please keep us updated and we will all be thinking of you on Dec 2! Think where you will be in a few weeks after surgery with the pounds melting away..

Welcome to VST and congratulations on your upcoming surgery - we are glad you joined our "family" and we'll be here to give you support, answer your questions and listen to your stories.

Welcome to the site. Please dont hesitate to ask us any questions, after all, I was a VERY nervous pre-op only about 6 wks ago. We all have been there and we all work together to resolve problems...We're just like one big sleeved family! lol
