New to forum: Sleeved on 9/21

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! I am a newbie here, but I wanted to drop a line to introduce myself.

I was just sleeved this Monday, and so far so good. I am surprised how good I am feeling, and I am not having much pain at all. Just a little bit of pulling around a couple of the port areas.

I am looking forward to getting to meet and chat with some of you!

Welcome to a wonderful site! I was also sleeved on Monday 9/21. I am doing well -- had a little trouble getting it all the fluids on Day 3 but it is getting easier everyday.

getting in the fluids is fun. I have done pretty well with it so far. I just have to keep reminding myself to sip, sip, sip!

I am glad to be on the losing path with you!

welcome! Glad you found us.

Just keep trying to sip regularly, and you will notice that it does get easier.

Welcome to the family MDGibbs. Day 2 post-op was my worst day - but it wasn't totally awful. Everyday after that just gets better and better.

You are doing great. You are a bit ahead of me, but you give me inspiration. My sleeve on 02/20/2010. I'm early to this process, and adjusting to the sleeve. Keep us informed and share tips on how to ajust. Thanks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
