How well does everyone post op do with the drinking of alcohol? I know you can't drink it all the time because it inhibits weight loss but is once in a while okay? How does everyone feel when they do drink? Does it burn?:)

I have had the occasional drink. Sometimes it goes down ok and sometimes it does burn a bit. Only have to have one glass of wine though and that's enough. It always weakens my resolve though and makes me want to snack so I try to avoid it although I had a big row with my husband last night and drank more than I should have and feel rotten today. It's best to limit it in my opinion and enjoy occasionally.

I've never been a big drinker - however we were on a cruise last week and I decided to get a drink one evening -- it burned all the way down - I thought - probably just the first drink - so I had another - same result - then I added some Water to it - didn't help - I gave up. I had the same results with some "rum punch" on one of our excursions - one sip and that was it! Guess drinking is off the list for me entirely now - which doesn't bother me all that much as it's just wasted calories anyway.

I get drunk much easier than I used (and I used to get drunk VERY easily). It's hard to hit that "mellow" spot. I'm either sober or slurring my words.

It doesn't burn any more than it used to though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
