following weight watchers???????

Recommended Posts

I just spoke with a friend who has had the surgery. She says she follows weight watchers plan basic program. She counts the points and sticks to 24 per day, She exercises 30 per day. Does any one follow weight watchers to stay on track. I am 5 week out and I can eat anything now,

Back in my "dieting" days, I always had the most success with weight watchers. I still believe it is a great program. I know of a few people who tried it after banding and after being sleeved, and they said they find it difficult to even come close to getting in the number of points they are supposed to eat in a day.

I think it would feel like too much work carrying the book around and counting points. I know you should log what you eat and stay within certain parameters but I think after a while it will come natural as to what adds up to what.

I think I read somewhere that someone took the WW points system to their PCP and recalculated it to work with the sleeve. Because if I were doing WW right now, I'd need like 32 points or something, and there is no way I could get it. I don't know how they figured it out, but it would be interesting to see if it works. I also had the most success on the WW program before VSG

When I did do WW, I always did the online program. I am always near a computer or have my iPhone with me, so it is easier to access the program and calculate points that way. I would love to see how someone reworked the points for sleevers.

I think the biggest issue is going to be what the points are made up of. In WW, points are points but we want to get in a certain amount of Protein and limit carbs during the weight loss phase. Points aren't that detailed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
