Something I read on that other board

Recommended Posts

yeah, I have considered that, but I sure would like to find my keys. My daughter gave me keys to her house so I could feed her animals and I lost those. Then I used her hide a key and lost that too. This is getting ridiculous.

Well that is scary. I try to put mine in the same place every single time -- because I would put them down wherever and never be able to find them. I know that doesn't help you out now since they are lost; however, it might be a good idea for the future -- I used to have a magnetic hook on the back of my front door so that they were right there when I needed them ... put them there when I closed the door -- it's handy. Now I put them on the end table right inside the door.

Hope you find all your lost items ... sure you don't have a raccoon "stealing" things from you?

I found my lost work badge today. It was in the garbage bag in my car! I must have thrown something out when I had it in my hand and dropped it in there.

I was hungry after surgery when I was on Clear liquids. Once I moved to full liquids, it was gone.

Now I can go hours and hours and not feel hungry.

Well, sounds like the "hid-a-key" worked!!!

(smile)

Seriously, I think that the nutritional, metabolic and other changes that go along with this journey are bound to affect us mentally until we get back on a maintenance nutritional intake that feeds the neurons really well with at least 1200 calories a day. The brain on 800 calories is just going to act like a brain on 800 calories. I'm expecting to laugh at myself a lot over the next year. I can tolerate it in order to get where I want to be in weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
