Very interesting. I see my doctor next Friday. I am going to ask him. Thanks

It's not a vote based on numbers...I was just saying that is what my Dr said. I even posted a pic of him saying it. He's pretty awesome, I trust him. Still should listen to your own Dr. Mine just might be more on the cutting edge of research.

Oh schnap, I said it.

I drink right up until time to eat. I do not drink while I eat or 30 minutes after. After almost 5 years I honestly don't even notice anymore. I got pretty used to it after the first few months. The funny thing now is that when I cook for people I always forget to offer them drinks.

Someone wrote yesterday about the drinking. I told her you will get use to not drinking. I use sit at dinner with a 1/2 gallon of iced tea and drink most of it. Now I don't drink at all.

I'm used to it and it's a small thing for piece of mind. Like I've said, I've seen it burn too many people. No thanks. I've had my band for almost 5 years and I plan on keeping it for a lot longer.

Your post reminded me of the first barbecue my wife and I had after we got married. A friend asked for mustard for their hot dog. Lynn and I looked at each other and giggled. We had none. Neither of us use mustard, so it never dawned on us to have it in the house.

I'll keep your post in mind for the future.

I find the hardest part is not eating much in the am a Protein Drink. 1/2a banana. Or maybe a Protein Bar. It is only after about 2-3 in the afternoon I am thinking about a dinner meal. Works well for me because I work out a couple days around 1-2 and can't work out full. But I am aware the consensus is eating well throughout the day is preferable Just can't eat early

I absolutely cannot have a drink near me when I'm eating. I will take a sip or two before I even realize what I'm doing.

I would love to drink while eating and I watched the video (thanks for the link), but I'm staying in this side of caution.

Once this new drinking while eating rule is out for a considerable length of time, most docs are on board and it becomes the new norm, I may try it then.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
