October 7th and it can't come fast enough. have a real hard time with the pre diet before the 10 day liquid diet gained 6 lbs. I just hate myself right now and cant get myself to get the ball rolling. now that I'm finally here I am screwing it up big time. I wish I could kick myself in the butt. I try to talk myself into getting on with the walks or get on the treadmill. I'm not a lazy person at all, wish I had Chris Powell to train me! but I don't...how do I get in the game and start this right. I got to get these 6 lbs. back off before the 10 day diet. I just hate myself grrrr

We all have or will mess up in the beginning. Just get the motivation back and keep reminding yourself WHY you started this process. You can do it. This is second day on pre diet and it is rough. Mind over matter

I start my pre op on the 26th and not looking forward to it but you have to keep going back on the reasons why you want this surgery and all that you have done to get to this point. We can do this. Mind over matter and its about the prize at the end. :-)

October 1 for me. I am so excited and want to get my life back. I lost my first band due to erosion. I gained 100 pounds back of the 120 I lost.

I had it from 2003 to 2012. I didn't find out about the erosion until my band was attempted to be replaced because I didn't have any symptoms, other than weight gain. I attributed the gain to stress and quitting smoking. I went for a fill and found no Fluid. I had the port replaced first but it kept losing fluid so we thought I had a defective band. I had one of the small bands done in Mexico as self pay. My insurance wouldn't pay. Now I'm married and my husbands insurance pays. And I'm so incredibly happy!

I'll be banded on oct 4. I began the preop diet today. I must say that I have fears that this surgery will not work for me because as it is now I don't eat very much but can't seem to lose weight and keep it off...I go back and forth with 5lbs and I work out 3x a week. Frustrated

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
