Pandora 80's cardio. Depends on your age, but for an almost 50 year old like me, it keeps me moving. I was at the gym yesterday on the weight machines when "Eye of the Tiger" came on and I burst out laughing-big old me rocking the weight machines, feeling like Rocky!!!

Love blurred lines. (No remix)." Happy" from despicable me now latest Sheryl crow. Always looking for kick ass music. Even "can't touch this". MC. "Super freak" Rick James. I get tired of the same songs so I'm open to other stuff

Ps I'm almost 60 so some of the Red book magazine best work out songs were a Big No thanks

I've been getting pumped to Red Barrat. Caught them on one of NPR's "Tiny DeskConcerts" -- it's wild music, don't know how to describe exactly: New Orleans meets Indian wedding, lots of horns, drums. Impossible not to move -- really changes it up for me when their tunes come on.

Burning Down The House always works for me, too, and Annie Lennox doing Take Me To The River.

Of course it really depends on your musical tastes.... but most songs by Michael Jackson get me moving. Eminem's Lose Yourself... Survivor is good for Eye of the Tiger but High on You is good, too. Journey... and there is one song that I cannot think of for the life of me right now. I'm going to have to look it up and come back. LOL

Bruno Mars, Zydeco and House Music fill the bill for me.

My sister is 59 years old and swears by Zydeco for walking...it's such happy music, especially if you're into New Orleans/Creole culture - no matter how you're feeling, it put's you in such a great mood. We are in Houston, TX so it's pretty much a way of life here. LOL

Check out:

Step Rideau and the Zydeco Outlaws (Step to You is awesome)

J. Paul, Jr. and the Zydeco New Breedz

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
