Any other September 2013 bandsters?

I know it's early, but wondering if there's any one else getting ready to get banded in September? I have one more Ins required weigh in Aug 19 then my paperwork gets submitted for approval!

I was already told I'm on the schedule for September 27! Fingers crossed!

Wish you a successful surgery! Mine is on 9/27... super excited

Surgery on Friday. Can't believe it's actually happening!

I am nervously excited and terrified at the same time. One week to go!

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I have been catching up on my sleep and taking this rare opportunity to veg out. My doctor is DR Krish out of Zephyr Hills. day 3 post op and I have no pain other than my stitches. No gas pains (thank god). I haven't lost any weight yet but I am sure that's to come. Have a good day

Today is my post op appointment (6 days since surgery) and I know the doctor scales aren't ever the same as the ones I have at home so I decided to weigh in my bathroom on mine. 13lbs!!!! Holy crap!!! Motivation right there! I know weight loss will slow down eventually, but for now I have my party hat on!

Well I am banded. I got it put in yesterday at 730 a.m. and slept till 7am this morning. Feeling pretty good although it does feel like I just did 2.75 million situps. No gas pains yet and I hope they stay away. I hope for my sake that this is as bad as it gets so I can have a good 2 week vacation from work.

Anyone else on here from the Spring /Hill FL area?

I'm happy all went well!! I get banded on Friday, 9/27. The clock is ticking but to keep me occupied I have started a blog like no other out there. I plan to tell all the dirty details.... I have been looking all over for more information about the actual details and couldn't find much so i've started my own. Maybe it will help someone else later on... Check it out @ www.debbieposton.com

That's amazing! you go girl!!!

My surgery is Wednesday. I think I've been in denial. Haven't wanted to think about things at all lately, and so much to do. Exciting. But also terrifying. Wish me luck. Luck and calmness. I'm doin' just fine, but I am on the edge of freaking out just a little. I've never had surgery before. It's a big deal. (But welcome, good, etc. etc.) Just... eep.

Eeep and Calm.

Good luck to all of you who are just about to have surgery ;) I wish you lots of luck & speedy recovery. I am 10 days post surgery- mine was 9/13. I am on mushy food today. Um I did ok after surgery - my incisions didn't hurt me all that much - but the gas did hurt. But with pain medicine and walking it was bare able. Still even today I sometimes have that deep muscle achy ness from the surgery, but I stopped taking pain medicine about day three.

So it really is ok and you are going to do fine ;) it is surgery after all. I'm down 15 pounds and I am starting to notice a little. It really is worth it - because I can tell you that without this surgery (tool) I wouldn't have been able to do it. My need for food has changed - I am sometimes a little hungry but when I do eat I'm satisfied. Pre-band I was always hungry which led me to overeat and that was the best thing for me - was to be satisfied.

Good luck to all of you ;)
