Any other September 2013 bandsters?

I know it's early, but wondering if there's any one else getting ready to get banded in September? I have one more Ins required weigh in Aug 19 then my paperwork gets submitted for approval!

I was already told I'm on the schedule for September 27! Fingers crossed!

Well 3rd day post-op, had my apple juice with 2 scoops of protein powder n now I'm not ready for breakfast. I get to have a protein shake with pureed fruit or yogurt n pureed fruit. I was so looking forward to it...in 30 min I guess....lol

On a positive. I have lost 5 lbs in 4 days

Congrats Debbie. I hope I do as well as you are.

Seems like everyone uses a different protein. I use Isagenix. Love this stuff. The regular shake is 24 grams of protein and all of the other things our bodies need. I add one scoop of their protein only which makes my shakes 38 grams. I feel very full and satisfied with these. My dietician loved the idea of using Isagenix once she read all the ingredients and values. Ive been adding one scoop of fiber as well which has really seemed to help with easing the gas. Day 4 post op and all is well. Feeling somewhat normal again.

My port is located kinda on my left chest wall - right above my breast - I think lol. My incision is kinda on the side under my arm a bit.

My port is about 2 inches above my belly button - so far it hadn't bothered me at all.

Just drank the Magnesium Citrate for surgery prep and I want to puke. I am trying not to so as not to irritate my stomach. But uuuuugggghhhh......

12 more hours for me!!!!!! So excited!!!

Mine is at 1:30 tomorrow. I feel better now, I guess....TMI ALERT: It's doing the job now! LOL but I'm no longer going to hurl, so that's good...I guess? hahaha

We will make it through and have a great day tomorrow with great pain meds.

Good luck to you....

this was day 5 for me. overall, i feel great. very little pain of any kind. occasionally there's a little discomfort/gas pain. i feel like i want to burp or hiccup but can't.

actually, my biggest annoyance is that i'm really, really hungry. yesterday was my first day on all liquids, and i had a smoothie. today, i've had at least 800 calories of juice/smoothies/soup and stillllll hungry. guess i'll be making that first fill appointment asap.

also, i'm retaining water and i've actually gained about 5 lbs since surgery. i don't feel backed up or anything. but i wasn't on any pre-op diet, so i was ingesting plenty of calories right up till surgery, but it's been 6 days since i've had a bm. sorry if tmi. i'll probably roll out the milk of magnesia if nothing changes by tomorrow.

12 more hours for me!!!!!! So excited!!!

I'm so excited for you! It is so easy. Good luck!
