I bought and ate boxes of the Gas-X strips. It did nothing for me. Nothing. :-(

I think the activated charcoal is working!

Banded 7/11...down 17 pounds including pre-op diet. Still on Clear Liquids only: broth, Jello, Water, and Gatorade. Check up tomorrow and I will see if I can move on to full liquids. No appetite at all. I walk about 45 minutes everyday. Full a little queasy today..don't know why. I had a hernia repaired too. Chest still hurts to swallow jello. GasX is for the birds! Had a BM 2 days ago that was so hard and so painful I don't want another one!!! And I haven't had one!!! I take Dulcolax twice daily and it still didn't really quite help! Ok, let see what else...oh going to take a month off work. Ok that's my intro.

I swear I wanted to lick one of my daughters French fries today so bad.

I really did laugh out loud at this. That's funny! Oh, and I agree...

I feel your pain. I took Philips liquigel and it worked really well for my 2nd BM. Haven't had a third yet.

What's activated charcoal I want some!

You can find it at most drug stores or any type of health food store. It's a capsule. I've had no problem swallowing them.

I did earlier this week and then finally it moved again. It happens. Feels like I hit a week or even two with no movement and then almost out of nowhere I will drop several pounds. Hang in there!

Hey everyone I was banded on 7-12-13 and really have had little to no pain until today. Not sure what's going on. I have had more Water today than any other day. I'm on straight liquids and only 1 Protein Shake today. I just feel like I've gone to a buffet and now have to wheeled out. Anyone else felt this way? Other than that I'm down 42 lbs. 30 pre op diet and 12 post op.

Has anybody had chest pain or tightness after surgery? It feels tight when I take deep breaths so pain is the wrong word to describe it! I was banded yesterday so I was hoping this was normal.

I'm doing my breathing thing when I remember so like every few hours and its tough to get to where I need to be on that!

Yes I still have pain in my chest. Especially when the pressure builds up like you want to burp....it hurts and I am 6 days post op...not sure when it will end....I think it's because I had a big hernia repaired and its just still really sore.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
