As I mentioned last week I was left standing at the altar by my anesthetist who wanted extra tests at the last minute.

Well I made it through that and another 6 days of shakes and have my surgery set for later this afternoon.

But just to add some more excitement to the conclusion of this saga, last night at 9pm one of our cats either ate or was stung by something when resulted in a trip to the animal emergency hospital. Got home at midnight and had a few calls saying it was iffy at best for a good outcome. But as of 7am this morning she looks like she turned the corner and will make it.

And to top it off, Phoenix is hitting 118 this weekend. Guess my post op exercise will be indoors.

Enough with the drama, let’s roll the closing credits on the pre-op part of this trilogy.

Back on in a few days or whenever my wife allows me near the keyboard.

Gary

Sorry about your cat's adventure, but I am happy to hear she is better. It is stressful when our pets are sick.

Good luck Gary and I hope all goes smooth.

I'm sorry to hear that you have had such a bumpy ride the last few days! I'm glad that all the tests were taken care of and ou are on your way to surgery! So happy for you! Also I'm glad that the cat is doing okay! My dog was once stung by multiple bee's and was very sick, we also made midnight ER visit! Also haha AZ heat is rough, lived there for many years, TX is no better. Let us know how you are doing once you are able. Best wishes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
