Question about 6 mo PRE Op diet

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I am curious about the 6 mo diet, I have my weigh in tomorrow morning for my 5th month. I am concerned that I will have gained a pound or two. My start weight was 274 and currently I am at 264. My weigh in last month was 262.

Has anyone been declined due to weight gain like this??

I have not planned on it, but should i try laxatives to get those two pounds off?

I would DIE if i got declined for a stupid 2 lbs weight gain.

Any information about The 6 Mo supervised diet would be greatly appreciated!

Don't do laxatives, you might bloat, or worse be cramping up and making all kinds of embarrassing noises in the office tomorrow. I would just drink a ton of Water starting now, and don't eat until after your weigh in tomorrow.

No laxatives, and don't worry about the two lbs. The 6 month diet is to prove that you are under a doctor's care..it's for insurance purposes and does not impact your surgery. I was on a 'supervised' 3 month diet also for the insurance company. I didn't lose a pound and it did not affect anything.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
