Got a call from the surgical scheduler this morning, and my date is set for July 11th! I was hoping it might be sooner, but not surprised it worked out this way. Means I will be starting my liquid diet while I'm traveling for work - so that will be interesting. I'm also wrestling with not having our annual 4th of July BBQ at my house (which is in a prime location for watching fireworks) - maybe I'll just have ppl over for fireworks but avoid smelling burgers on the grill all day.

Anyone else have a July date set? Wanna support each other through the next weeks?

Thanks. Very happy to have support from this group. I made a list of things to purchase and tomorrow I in my paperwork to be off work. I have vacation time so am going to do 3 weeks....What's everyone else doing?

I am having surgery on a monday and returning to work the following monday. Prepared to take a few more days if needed! So excited for us! Lisa

I met with the surgeon last week and they submitted everything to the insurance. If everything goes well, I am anticipating a July surgery date. That's my birthday month, so I'm saying that will be my birthday present

Had my pre op appointment yesterday. It went great. I start the pre op diet on June 26th but today I am starting to add shakes as you guys have done. I think that's a great idea!! I will definitely need to get to the store to get ready and have plenty of choices here. Good luck to all of you July bandsters!!! New to the Site! Just joined a few minutes ago! My surgery date is July 22nd! Its been a LONG journey. I have my consultation and Pre-Op on July 2nd. Woo Hoo! I can't wait!

Hi - I'm not sure if I'm doing this right b/c I'm really new to posting! My surgery date is July 1! Love the idea about supporting each other over the next few weeks / months. Also, did you figure out the answer on how to add friends on MFP? Thanks! Deb

Yep - on MFP in the add friends option if you choose the "by email" button there is an option in there to add by username. I just didn't see it the first 18 times

Hi everyone my date is the July 1 we got this

Hey girls! My surgery is July 18. My mom will be down for a few days to help me out. My surgery is on a Thursday morning and I have to return to work the following Monday but only half days that week. I'm self pay and praying for no complications and the strength to get through the pre-op diet. I'd love for us to keep this thread running with our progress throughout the coming months! Fingers crossed for success for all of us!
