Road Trip: Low carb, high protein, low fat snacks?

Does anyone have suggestions for snacks to take on a road trip (about 10 hours) that are low carb, high protein, and low fat? I was thinking almonds, but I doubt I could control myself that well (love them :)) and probably will not take these and they are high in fat.

If you're keeping a cooler in the car, string cheese is good. And jerky....which is one of our favorite road trip snacks.

Deli meats travel well in a cooler. I too like Jerky and string cheese.

nuts, cut up veggies, snack size humus if you have a cooler

On road trips, I take a little cooler with protein shakes and fat free cheese. I'm not much of a snacker, so road trips are a challenge for me. I mostly do shakes to keep my energy up for driving. We often make a 10-hour drive to our home state, and my 21-year-old son is really good at watching over me and reminding me to eat when I need to. (Whose the parent?)

little baggies of carrots, grapes, nuts, protein bars, bottled water, apples and make your own trail mix.....lots of healthy options

Have fun on your road trip!!!

I travel a lot for work so I carry a cooler every day. I bring Mix1 Chocolate Protein Shakes (90 calories, 9 grams protein), Isopure Zero Carb Shakes (60 calories, 15 grams of protein),Greek Yogurt, lowfat string cheese or lowfat sharp cheddar sticks from Sargento Cheese, Doctor Kracker Crisp Breads/ Crackers (100 calories, 5 grams of protein) and even hard cooked eggs.

Have a good trip!

Low fat cheese sticks and jerky are great road trip foods. You can buy these at most convenience stores, along with those precooked hard boiled eggs. If you area eating out, look for the healthy options. Chickfila has a grilled nugget kids meal that is perfect for banders.

I too travel with a cooler when able.

I take deli meats and cheese, sometimes lettuce to make wraps,if band tolerates of course

Apple sauce Greek yogurt cheeses and cottage cheese

Protein drinks and water

Some times salads like egg tuna or potatoes salad or just plain old dressed up with all fixings... salad

I have recently found carb masters yogurt. Flavored for 4grms carbohydrate....and 8 protein
