Pain in port site when exercising.

Recommended Posts

I have been doing the 30 day squat challenge and I keep feeling a pulling very painful sensation right where my port is when doing the exercise. It almost feels like it is ripping or flipping if that makes sense. Does this happen to anyone else? I refuse to give up! I'm on day 27!

Have it checked. I'm having a port replacement on May 10th.

I felt a pain just turning in bed. It woke me up enough to be concerned. Sure enough, when I went for a fill the doctor couldn't do it because my port flipped, movements can pull your port out if you're not careful. I did mine in my sleep but the pain was enough to wake me up.

Good luck whatever you decide.

hmm, still very early banded....i know my port area was very sore/tender for about a month esp with the scar tissue forming around it...it def gave me a pulling sensation....if you are concerned, call and discuss with your doctor. (did he okay you to exercise so soon after surgery as it was 4/30 by your post)?

I had to look twice myself...but her date was in 2012 and not just this year. At first I thought she must be super woman to be rocking a squat challenge so soon after being banded....LOL.... :P

I can feel it, my doc said it's normal, especially when doing ab work. If it hurts I stop.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
